I received my certification in children's yoga in October of 2005 with
YogaKids International and currently teach at several local daycare centers as
well as Treetop Studio. I completed my Level I adult certification in April
2007 with Shambhava School of Yoga followed by the Level II Shambhava training
in March of 2008. I have been practicing meditation for 10+ years and
definitely enjoy passing that skill on to others as well. Also a Registered
Dietitian with 4 years clinical experience, I understand the interactions of
medications with diet and possible limitations that students may face regarding
activity. Sharing Yoga and Meditation with my students brings a great deal of joy
to my life and I hope to continue practicing and sharing for many decades.

Practicing yoga since 1999, Alan has trained with Shiva Rae, Erich Shiffmann, Sarah Powers, and Paul Grilley, among others. It was Paul and Sarah who taught him the simple but transforming practice of Yin Yoga, which he has been teaching since 2002. "Although I love and practice other forms of yoga, it is the Yin form which seems most needed in our busy, modern lifestyles. Practicing Yin really gives me the space to connect deeply with my body in the present moment”.
